Privacy policy

The short version

This is a static editorial site. No accounts, no logins, no newsletter, no shopping basket. There is very little to collect, and none of it is sold.

What is collected

Standard server logs, as with any website: the page requested, an IP address, a browser user-agent string and a timestamp. They keep the site running and show roughly how many people read which entry. Nothing in them is used to build a profile of you.

If you email us, we hold that email so we can reply. It stays in the inbox and is never added to a mailing list.

Cookies and analytics

The site sets no advertising or tracking cookies of its own. Web fonts load from Google Fonts, so your browser makes a request to Google's servers when a page opens; that request falls under Google's own privacy terms. If analytics are ever added, it will be a privacy-respecting, aggregate-only service, and this page will say so before it goes live.

Sharing and selling

Nothing is sold. Nothing is shared with advertisers, data brokers or hotels. Information is disclosed only where the law requires it.

Your choices

Block cookies and scripts and the site still works — it is plain HTML and CSS. To have an email exchange deleted from our inbox, ask at hello@spectralbasket.com and it will be removed.
